“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to imagination and life to everything” – Plato

I’ve always had a passion for music, from an early age there was always music playing in our house.  My mother introduced me to Rock n’ Roll and hits from the 50’s and 60’s and my father introduced me to Big Band, Jazz and Classical.  The rest was down to me, growing up in what I consider to be the best time ever for music, the late 70’s to the 90’s.  All kids had a culture, an identity and a group or gang to hang around with and for me it was Punk, Mod, Ska and Northern Soul, with a secret love of New Romantic and Synth Pop.  I then turned towards Indie and Brit Pop at the same time as finding House, Trance and Rave.  Just when I thought music had turned stagnant and everything sounded the same, along come the likes of Kasabian, The Killers and The Kaiser Chiefs, and once again my faith was restored in the ever changing face of music.

This website is a significant step towards my life long dream to own a Record Shop, a place where you can come and play some vinyl, have a coffee, a chat and discuss your favourite artists, gigs, album covers, or whatever you like.  My own record shop is further down the line, and this is where I hope the journey starts.  This website is work in progress and thousands more records will be added over time, so please keep calling back and any comments or criticisms would be really appreciated via my Facebook page or by email to andrew@grapevinyl.net.

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain” – Bob Marley

I’ve tried to rate all the records for sale on what they sound like and not just on what they look like.  I’ve found out personally over the years that some may have a hairline scratch that doesn’t affect the sound quality and on the other side of the coin, some may look immaculate but have a slight warp that makes them jump and sound terrible.  More information can be found on the Grading page.  If you are not happy with any purchase please contact me through the Contacts page, I offer a 14 day full refund returns policy.  Anyway that’s enough from me for now, happy browsing, and remember “Keep it Real, Keep it Vinyl”, you can’t physically feel or smell a download.

“Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words, it speaks in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones” – Keith Richards

Thank you, Andrew.
